Stuff you should be listening to

* Panda Bear - Person Pitch
It's so righteous, I didn't expect too much from this album but man, hearing this for the first time felt like an epiphany all over again. I loved Panda's first album and this collection of euphoric deep sea anthems is even better, in whole different ways.

* Soft Circle - Full Bloom
The late night/dance/whatever trip you like being on compagnon to Person Pitch. It's luscious, triumphant and it's the new band from former Black Dice drummer dude Hisham Baroocha.

* Charlemagne Palestine - A Sweet Quasimodo Between Black Vampire
Hearing Charlemagne talk about a long one childhood in California during the first track feels like looking through a photo album of someone you don't but wish you'd know. The second (main) piece is played on two grandpiano's and the action is incredibly dynamic, all the overtones create a dreamlike tension. It's almost hallucinatory.

* Ghost - In Stormy Nights
Ghost sound so out of time and yet so right on this album. It's kind of creepy how they mess with such different moods while maintaining that ultimate mysterious vibe throughout the whole album.

* Lambsbread - Rodney King Was On Pcp That Night
These Ohio dudes can't stop releasing good shit and every single shit sounds like a rusty Chevy truck crashing into dirty pools of feedback. Just awesome, no other word comes close to this kind of sludgy post-Harry Pussy deconstruction.

* Les Rallizes Denudes - Heavier than a Death in the Family
Les Rallizes bootleg titles are totally invincible. So is the music, always extremely invigorating, over the top feedback attacks topped off with the yearning vocal style guitarist/singer Takashi Mizutani is blessed with. It's a force you just can't deny, it's ultra addictive and once you've tasted it's raging honey you're sold for life.
